We create spaces that are beautiful and functional.

Meet jamie

Hey! I'm Jamie, an interior designer, studio owner, and all-around lifestyle builder. I’m on a mission to bring function, personality, quality, craftsmanship, and of course, beauty, to American homes, improving the lives of the families that live in them. I live in Newman Lake, Washington with my wonderful husband, Eli, where you can find me taking long walks through the forest, cooking a new recipe, or spending time with family.

— Billy Baldwin

"Be faithful to your own taste, because nothing you really like is ever out of style."

I’m Jamie Nell - Interior Designer and owner of Jamie Nell Design. I’ve always had a passion for creation - for making things that are purposeful and beautiful. I studied interior design at Brigham Young University - Idaho, and from the beginning, I wanted to build a business of my own. Throughout my career and life, I have seen an overall lack of quality, detail, and beauty built into the majority of modern homes. It is my personal belief that everyone should live in a home they love, that is beautiful, and that serves them and their families on an individual basis.

I gain my inspiration from historic architecture and design and I’m drawn to colors, patterns, and intricate architectural details, but also the simplicity of earlier lifestyles. As I have applied these historic elements to my client’s homes, as well as JND’s principles of function, personality, quality, craftsmanship, and beauty, I have seen our designs change not only the look of a home, but lift the spirits and better the lifestyles and relationships of those who live in them. So, at Jamie Nell Design we blend classic styling with modern-day function to bring clients like you happiness at home.

This kitchen remodel totally transformed this client's home. What originally was a small, dark, u-shaped kitchen turned into an open and airy kitchen, with gorgeous views, plenty of space for the family to gather, and a functional layout for healthier and more enjoyable cooking.

Building a 7,000 square foot dream home is no small feat. This young family hired us to design all of the cabinetry and custom built-ins throughout the home, to provide a fun new color scheme, and to design a kitchen that was totally functional for their family and guests.

This couple bought a new home for it's park-like acre lot and pool, but they wanted the interior to reflect their personalities, not the family that lived there previously.
